Biography
Christina began studying harp at the age of 12 with re-known teacher, Laura Erb. 3 months later began playing out professionally at weddings, special events, Michelle’s at Landerhaven, and Stouffers downtown for restaurant dinners, brunches, and special events. Went on to study Harp Performance at Ohio University with Lucille Jennings. Upon returning to Cleveland, gave private lessons as well as adult group classes through North Olmsted High School and the Wellness Center located in Rocky River, Ohio. Also toured elementary schools performing at assemblies and giving demonstrations in the history of the harp. In addition, formed a 12 piece harp ensemble called "Christina's Little Angels”. Performed for many years at the Ritz Carlton Cleveland for High Tea as well as many private engagements. In 1992, produced and released first recording named "Golden Harp Lullabies" with the St. Angela Choir that integrated various styles to create a soothing atmosphere designed for children to fall asleep to. Formed own music agency named, "Makin' Music" - an alliance through the Federation of Cleveland Musicians promoting musicians in Cleveland for various events. In 1997, released second recording titled, "Egyptian Harp Dreams" that was distributed to over 190 Borders stores, Barnes & Nobles, The Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, Art Museums across the U.S. as well as Indigo in Canada. This CD contains a collection of ancient Egyptian folk songs which she arranged for the harp dating as far back as 896 AD. These arrangements are genuine folk songs truly representative of the unique musical history of Egypt. And now in 2006 comes the release of "Harp Rock" containing 14 Rock Standards Christina uniquely arranged for harp using an effects processor to create a most atmospherically ethereal vibe. Rock & Roll has never sounded so serene.
